Causes of pimples on nose

A pimple, zit or bump on nose can have different causes. Some of the possible causes would include the following:

1. Stress

Being emotionally stress has the ability to trigger hormonal changes that can interfere with normal function of the body.

Common such change is increased secretion of sebum by the sebaceous glands. Excess sebum can accumulate in the skin pores to leading to the formation of pimples.

If this is the cause, simple lifestyle measure like yoga and meditation can help manage the symptoms.  For severe cases, you need proper medication.

2. Hormonal fluctuation

Cystic acne is a common cause of pimples on the face. It is common in adolescent but can in rare case occur in adults.

Pimples are most common in women during the menstrual cycle and when pregnant.

Hormonal fluctuation that interferes with the production of sebum is the cause of this.

3. Wearing heavy makeup

Clogging of the skin pores from wearing poor quality heavy makeup is also a possible cause of a pimple on the face and other parts of the body.

When blocked, your hair follicles on face accumulate sebum, dead skin cells, and dirt to for raised bumps.

When infected with bacteria, the bumps turn red, becomes swollen and may be very painful. A cystic pimple may form when the inflammation spread underneath the skin.

4. Acne on face

These pimples are also likely to be a sign of acne. According to mayo clinic, acne is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles become clogged with sebum and dead skin cells.

It often appears on the face but can also be seen on the chest, back and on shoulders. This condition is common in teenagers but can occur at any age in both males and females.

Acne can be shown by whiteheads, blackheads, small red bumps, large and painful lumps and in some cases pus-filled bumps under the skin.

6. Bad habits

Constant picking the inside of nose can lead to damaging the hair follicles which can block and accumulate sebum to form small or large zits inside the nose.

A blind pimple on nose with no head

Unlike other raised pimples, a blind pimple occurs deep within the skin closer to the nerves. A blind pimple is very painful.

Like other pimples, they are caused by overactive sebaceous glands under the skin. These pimples are formed by the clogging of the pores by the excess oil.

Since it remains deep under the skin, blind pimple does not have a typical white head like other pimples.

These pimples commonly occur on the nose, behind the ears and other parts of the face. They vary in size, have no pus and are often red in color.

To reduce the risk of picking up an infection, you should not poke or squeeze the pimple.

To speed up it’s healing, a simple warm compress thrice a day will work.

A cystic pimple on nose

A cystic pimple on nose can be caused by cystic acne which causes your skin pores to clog with oil and dead skin cells. Cystic pimples are often swollen.

This occurs when the pores rupture underneath the skin, the inflammation will thus spill out into the surrounding skin tissues.

Also called nodulocystic acne, cystic acne is an intense form of acne. It results in large, inflamed cysts and nodules that can occur on any part of the skin. Cystic acne pimple is also very painful.
